Anti-Laser Detectors are what drivers use to warn of oncoming police hunting for speeders

Anti-Laser Detectors are what drivers use to warn of oncoming police hunting for speeders.

Original laser detectors had short ranges less than .25 miles. The laser detector becomes less accurate as the distance increases since the light path widens from a pencil width beam to over 3 feet in diameter.

Light pulses from police laser detectors aren't detectible with standard radar detecting equipment, so driver detection of police lasers was developed fast. The original laser detector's limitations were almost like starting over in the 1950's with similar radar detector limitations.

Laser detector guns, just like original radar detectors, may not be used in moving vehicles. That may be an archaic limitation, but laser detectors have increased detection response by operating in the 90 GHz range, much higher than Super-Wide Ka-Band radar detectors.

Two industries spawned:

Police radar and laser detection guns verified speeding drivers.

Driver "anti" radar and laser detection devices warned of nearby police detection use.

Industry needed to advance.

As police obtained more sophisticated speed detection devices, so too did the anti-detection market develop.

Can a Radar and Laser detector be detected when in use?

Hardware detection technology wasn't just on the side of the speeder. Radar and Laser "detector detection" devices were now being developed for use by police officers to warn the police that a driver was being warned about them. These devices identified a driver with a radar or laser detector in use.

Obviously, this would have no use without laws that made the outcome beneficial to the police officer. So enacted laws gave police added power to stop speeders mostly who believed they were now "police-proof."

Police proof drivers are dangerous because he believes he is invincible and invisible. These people take so much for granted that they cause accidents from their inattentiveness alone.

Can a Radar or Laser gun be jammed?

As police detection devices increased in frequency and distance, it was clear that technology and laws had to adapt to stop the cat and mouse chase. Signal jammers were developed to send out radio signals that mimicked enough interference and returned false readings.

The laws change, but California, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Virginia, Utah and Washington D.C. all have laws that restrict the use of radar and laser detector jamming devices.

Is It Illegal To Sell These Devices In The United States?

Virginia and Washington D.C. have the most strict laws concerning these sales. However, it's not illegal to sell these devices in all 50 states, because the jammer can be turned off.

Companies that sell this equipment state that the police cannot detect specific anti-detection equipment, so it's the driver's responsibility to follow state laws. There's no great wisdom required to understand how the product is being developed, sold and used to skirt the laws.

How fast does a driver using radar or laser detectors want to drive?

Some time ago I wrote an article for the absolutely sensational ARTICLE CITY

Some time ago I wrote an article for the absolutely sensational ARTICLE CITY regarding the handling of your personal injury claim regarding how one should proceed to collect for their LOST WAGES.

Since then I've been asked so many questions about that subject matter I've decided to go into even greater depth regarding this highly complicated subject matter. So, here we go:

GENERALLY SPEAKING: If you're claiming five weeks of lost wages, and your Medical Record shows you were discharged in three, you're in deep "stuff"! You're chances of collecting for those additional two weeks is probably minus-zip.

No matter who says what you must make sure that the Final Medical Report, is handed to you - - only you - - nobody else !

Why ? So you'll have a chance to read it before you hand it to Adjuster Henry Hard-Nose employed by Rock Solid Insurance Corporation.

In the event that the report doesn't have everything in it that it should (which I've expressed in detail below) you have every right to return it to Medical Doctor or Chiropractor who wrote it and ask that it be rewritten in clear language, detailing and explaining the pain, discomfort and suffering they observed you experienced.

It if isn't executed correctly Rock Solid Insurance and Hard-Nose will absolutely swoon with joy because the value of your claim will have done a nose dive into the nearest sewer. Why? Because your Final Medical Report has been executed in a sloppy manner and they know, in their secret heart's, that even though you went through a tremendous period of "Pain and Suffering" if it's not adequately spelled out your claim suddenly has much less value !

Assuming your Final Medical Report has been written accurately that's money in the bank! But, far too often they're dashed off in haste by a "Busy-Busy" Attending Physician or Chiropractor. Don't let that happen to you because, if it does, that hot, slick tongue you feel on you're lips, and sliding into your throat, is the result of the kiss of death that's being given to you moments before your seduction.

SICK LEAVE OR VACATION TIME:

If you had to take sick leave, or vacation time, during the time you missed from work, it's absolutely part of your claim. Never forget you would have been entitled to use that sick leave and/or vacation time, - - later on down the road - - when you needed or wanted it.

you're still being treated by your attending physician

If you've returned to work, but you're still being treated by your attending physician, that Lost Wage Document should clearly state the date and hours you missed when you had to leave work and make that day trip to see your doctor and/or receive treatment.

BACK TO WORK HOWEVER NOT BACK AT YOUR USUAL, NORMAL, ROUTINE ASSIGNMENT:

During my almost 40 years in the business of insurance claims I often ran into a situation where the claimant insisted they were unable to return to their old job and this caused them to have a lesser income. However, there were many times when the only proof of this was their verbal contention and that was unacceptable .

That's why it's so important (should this apply to you and your work/income situation) that this is clearly spelled out , by the company where you're employed, in their Lost Wage Report. An official notation on the bottom of the document, stating this to be true, can save you a lot of grief, and a earn you a ton of money!

LOSS OF OVERTIME PAY:

The overtime you lost is a legit claim. Get a letter from your employer spelling out the amount of money you lost in overtime. They can do this by taking a look at last years income, during the same period you were laid up, then figuring out the overtime income you lost, for that identical space in time. Once this has been determined THIS TOO should written into your Lost Wage Report.

ONE LAST WARNING

The inside claims people at Rock Solid Insurance Corporation and adjusters like Henry Hard-Nose are buried alive with hundreds (sometimes thousands!) of claimants who are going through a great deal of "Pain and Suffering", and they just don't have the time to properly consider the seriousness of what you've had to deal with, no matter how legitimate it may be.

You ask, "How can Dan be so sure about that" ? The answer is very simple, "Because I've been there and done that".

HOWEVER: If you follow what I've laid out above, you'll stay ahead of them, win the ball game and be awarded all the lost wage damage's that are owed to you - - PLUS increase that additional payment for your "Pain and Suffering" !

Gas prices are on the rise again!

Gas prices are on the rise again! Here are some tips to help you conserve gas and save money as we approach summer gas prices.

1. Keep your car tuned up. Cars in poor running condition use more gasoline.

2. Plan trips well to avoid unnecessary driving.

3. When you run your air conditioner you get much worse gas mileage. Use your air conditioner sparingly. If you have a lower setting, use it. Turn it on until the car gets cool, then turn it off and let the fan circulate the cool air. Never run your air conditioner with your windows open!

4. Keep your windows closed when traveling at high speeds. Open windows cause additional drag and lower your gas mileage. At high speeds, an open window can use more gas than many air conditioners (especially if they are on a low setting).

5. Check your tire pressure. Over-inflated tires can actually reduce your fuel efficiency, so don't overfill.

6. If at all possible, change your work start time to avoid gridlock. Stop and go traffic hurts your gas mileage.

7. Take unneeded items out of the car. You don't need to carry snow chains around with you in the summertime. Just make sure to put them back in when winter comes around.

8. Try not to idle your engine for long periods of time. If you are stuck in traffic and you don't think you are going to go anywhere in the next five minutes, you may want to turn your car off.

9. You no longer need to warm your car up for long periods of time, especially new cars. New cars are made to run when cold.

10. Don't travel at fast speeds in low gears unless you need the compression to slow down.

11. Try to drive the speed limit.

12. Try to accelerate slowly when leaving the stop light. It's not a competition with the driver in the lane next to you. The fastest person through the intersection just gets to spend more on gas.

13. No need to buy the highest priced gasoline. Most cars are built to run on regular unleaded. Check you owners manual or consult a mechanic. I have had many tell me that the more expensive gas is a waste of money.

14. Revving the engine needlessly wastes gas. There is no need to rev before you turn your vehicle off.

15. If at all possible, try to arrange car pools with co-workers to share the cost of commuting to work.

16. Walk, bike or run to your intended location whenever possible.

Everybody is talking about the process of powder coating automotive parts

Everybody is talking about the process of powder coating automotive parts. Powder coating has grown in popularity over the past few years for a number of reasons. How many of us see powder coating being used on shows like "American Chopper" or "Overhaulin'"? The general public knows from watching these shows that powder coating is out there. But what is powder coating and how exactly is it done? Anybody know?

Preparation is imperative in achieving a quality finish. The item being coated must be completely bare of any paint, dirt, oil, or any other substance. To achieve this, sandblasting equipment is used. If it is not possible to use this equipment, it must be done with chemicals or by hand. The items are then baked to remove any moisture from the metal. After all materials have been stripped off, the item is treated with a degreasing solution to help prevent corrosion.

Powder coating is a process by which selected items are coated with a fine powder of ground resin and pigment, which is basically ground up paint particles that form a powder-like substance. The items being coated are placed on a rack, which grounds the items. A gun is used to spray the powder onto the items. A large oven is then used to heat and cure the coating. Temperatures used to cure the items typically are between 400 and 450 degrees. Heating the items makes the pigments melt, gel, and then cure to form a durable finish. The finished product is a uniform coating. Powder coating can be used on steel, zinc, and aluminum as well as other materials. The quality of the finished product has the ability to outlast and outperform painted parts. A variety of up to a few hundred different colors are available to choose from. It also exceeds paint in resisting acids, solvents, impact, and abrasions.

A thin, sheet of film that is transparent is applied to your car's windows

A thin, sheet of film that is transparent is applied to your car's windows in this simple procedure. There are many benefits of having your car or truck windows. The thickness of the film ranges from 0.001 to 0.004 inches and made of a different. Window tinting can also create hazards, especially for drivers at night. To ensure safety, many jurisdictions have enforced laws that are based on the darkness of the tinting films. For example, in Arkansas, the tint limit is twenty-five percent but in New Jersey, it is seventy-percent.

The three ways of window tinting include

• Film tinting-this is an inexpensive and simple way to tint your windows. The film applied to your window glass is found in different tints like metallic, mirrored, and flat. Some experts in the automotive field say this type of window tinting can help prevent the shattering of window glass in an auto accident. Although this may be true, it is generally helpful during the first months of applications. This is because the window tinting file can easily peel or crack.
• OEM tinted glass-with this type of window tinting the tint is added when the glass is prepared instead of applying it to the window. This type has a tint that is lighter and to replace it can be expensive.
• Coated tinting-in this technique a distinctive solution is applied to the window surface. It is often used as a spray. When tinting your windows this is the most effective way. It should only be done by an expert, as it is a difficult process to apply.

Benefits of window tinting

• Better driving-if the sun is in your face when driving it can be an annoyance but it can also be deadly. Having your windshield tinted will prevent glare from extreme sunlight and helps to shield your eyes.
• Privacy-not only does it offer some protection by preventing people from seeing in your car and it also protects things inside your car from being seen by others when you are not around. You will not need to store your valuables in the trunk to protect them from being stolen.

• Protects your car upholstery-UV rays and the heat from direct sunlight can help to keep the interior of your car from getting so hot that it cracks, fades, or warps your plastic dash and other plastic in your car. It also blocks as much as 90% of the harmful UV rays.
• Keeping cool---if you have the right window tinting you can help to reduce the heat inside of your car in the summer up to 60%.
• Staying healthy-window tinting can reduce the number of UV rays, which can cause skin cancer.

Wrapping a car is preferred to be a better option

Why wrap?

Wrapping a car is preferred to be a better option than painting these days. There are many reasons to it. Let's have a look at some of the reasons to wrap your car instead of painting it-

1. Cost - We all know there are different kinds of paints available in the market. And one can opt for what they like. There are paints that are friendly to the pocket but at the same time if you prefer quality over price, low cost paints may look cheap to you and would not give the finish and look you require and demand for. However, if you opt for a car wrap over painting, you can get a better quality at the same price or even cheaper than that. And then you can remove the wrap as per your desires but you will have to repaint if you go with painting.

2. Intact resale value - If you paint your car, the original paint is gone, and it results in the reduction of the resale value of your vehicle. But when opt for the car wrap; you get the different look without hampering the original paint of the car. Thus it keeps the resale value of the car intact.

3. Different look - It is highly possible that when you purchased your car you wanted a different colour, but you could not get what you desired. These vinyl wraps are just the right thing for your fantasies. Wrap your car with the colour you always wanted transforming it into something new and different that will make you stand out from others.

4. Time involved - When you go for repainting your vehicle, you will have to manage without it for at least 2 weeks but in case of a car wrap, you get your transformed car in about 2 days. So the time involved in the transformation is less.

5. No Maintenance- Car wraps look like new with a wash. You just need to use a car detergent and some water and you get the same brand new look again. It's that easy!

6. Last long - The normal wraps life is about 5 - 8 years without affecting the original paint of the car. If you can keep it away from direct sunlight you can increase the life, so it's all in your hands.

All the above benefits are not offered with painting. So, a car wrap is in high demand these days and is quite popular over painting your car.
